Things to know before renting a car to drive yourself in South Korea
Must have Thai driving license + International Driving Permit (IDP) issued by the Department of Land Transport
The renter's name must match the driver's name on all documents
Use a credit card to make a deposit (Some cases do not accept debit cards)
Most cars are automatic transmission, easy to drive (left-hand drive).

Expressways in Korea use the Hi-Pass system, similar to Japan's ETC (pay as you go).
