Things to know before renting a car to drive yourself in Taiwan

• Must have Thai driving license + International Driving Permit (IDP) issued by the Department of Land Transport
• Driver's license must Chinese translation or Taiwan police station certification (some companies require this)
• Use a credit card to make a deposit (some accept debit cards with high credit limits)
• Most cars are automatic and easy to drive (left-hand drive).
• Prices shown are approximate daily rates including basic insurance.
• Recommend booking at least 7 days in advance, especially during long holidays or Children's Day.
• Traffic system in English + GPS available in multiple languages.
• Additional requests are possible Child seat / full insurance / ETC card is available
